The very 1st Picture ever on RidersGottaRide.com Sept 29, 2009 - Scotty Yoquelet

This will be my last post on this current platform ( Google Blogger ).  I have been working on a newer version of this site and I plan to keep providing you with more original coverage of local BMX and Action Sports goings on here in the Mid-West!

I want to thank each and every one of you for tuning into RidersGottaRide.com as the site hit over 10,000 views earlier this year.  The new site will be live on 6.23.14 at this very same address.  I am looking to do more interviews and also add maybe a contributor or 2.  If you take pictures or have the want or need to cover area BMX or Skateboarding events please contact me at RidersRoll@gmail.com.

Cheers to all of you and here's to another 5 Years of RidersGottaRide.com!

The 3rd Annual Kitchen Pro/Am Results

Brett Banasiewicz with Daniel Sandoval in the background here kicking off the contest correctly!

The Kitchen BMX & Skatepark’s 3rd annual Pro/Am competition started in typical Maddog fashion with Brett in a car chase with the South Bend Police Dept.  Fifteen minutes into our live feed Brett called to warn me he was coming in hot with the cops on his tail!

Once he shook the coppers, Brett grabbed his BMX and took a few hot laps around his park before stopping atop Mt. Banasiewicz (the newly built huge step up). The entire building erupted with applause as we kicked off an amazing weekend in South Bend, IN.

The Battle for Northern Indiana - The Kitchen BMX & Skatepark Stop #2 Results

The Battle for Northern Indiana headed up to South Bend Indiana at The Kitchen BMX & Skatepark on this past Sunday for stop #2! Many thanks to everyone once again who helped make this a reality.  This contest focused on the younger generation of Riders and proved positive for all involved.  Next year we will add some more sponsors and some more locations to continue to grow the sport around the mid-west.

Dalton Edwards, a 15 year old young man who won the 1st stop in Fort Wayne just one week ago had a bad crash literally minutes before the event was to start. He crashed very hard on the box jump section and was rushed to a South Bend Hospital.  Dalton had emergency surgery and is now healing up, and is now in the recovery process..  Thanks to everyone at the Kitchen for the super good emergency skills that ensured Dalton was taken care of as fast as possible.    Please keep Dalton Edwards, and his Family in your thoughts and prayers as he heals up!

The Battle Begins... Words & Pictures from Fort Wayne, New Republic Skatepark

Nico Vanderheyden - No Footed Can-Can
The Battle for Northern Indiana began its day with 4" of snow on the ground.  A challenge for all who was travelling to New Republic Skatepark in Fort Wayne.  The day began nice and early by shoveling and gearing up the park for it's 1st ever competition of any kind.  Justin Hardin and Jordan Bowen showed up with the Solution Action Sports rig with a portable box jump in tow.
